Node4 announces the new appointment of Bill Thomas as Chairman.

Mr Thomas brings an impressive track record to his new role as Chairman with Node4, where he will help develop Node4’s strategy, focusing on building synergies and aligning with customer experience.

Andy Gilbert, CEO, Node4, comments: “Bill joins the Node4 team at a critical time, when we are gearing up to continue expanding and growing. We knew that we needed a Chairman of the right calibre to help us innovate, widen our market and improve the customer journey and experience. We felt that Bill’s successful career in IT & communications, together with his passion for a customer-focused approach made him the perfect fit for Node4. I am happy to welcome him, and look forward to working together to help Node4 fulfil our ambitious plans.”

Bill Thomas has more than 30 years of experience in the IT services sector, having worked for over 20 years with EDS and Hewlett Packard, both in the US and in Europe where he ran the EMEA services business. Prior to his appointment as Chairman at Node4, Bill Thomas has also held a number of high profile non-executive director roles at several companies; including the Co-Op Bank plc, Balfour Beatty plc, GFI Software, XChanging PLC, Spirent Communications and VFS.

Mr Thomas said: “I joined Node4 because I think the firm has all the hallmarks of a truly great IT Services company. I was most impressed by the culture that Andy Gilbert and the team have created which puts client centric innovation at the heart of everything it does. Node4 has a particular capability of supporting high growth companies who see IT as a source of competitive advantage. I am delighted to be invited to join the team and look forward to meeting colleagues and clients, and playing my part in enabling Node4 to realise its potential.”

Bill Thomas’ appointment follows a period of sustained success and growth for Node4. Over the last three years Node4 has tripled its staff, grown its customer base to over 1000, and expanded its geographical presence and cloud services portfolio. Last year, it also announced a new principle investor, Bowmark Capital, which has committed £40m of follow-up funding for Node4’s ambitious growth and acquisition plans over the next three years.
