Node4 secures coveted spot in Tech Track 100 for second consecutive year after another impressive year of trading and is one of only three East Midlands companies to feature on the list.
The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 recognises Britain's 100 private tech companies with the fastest growing sales over the last three years. Node4 has cemented their place in the rankings by recording an annual growth in sales of 42%, and £8.9 million sales in the 2010/2011 financial year.
Andrew, who is the managing director of Node4, said "We're overjoyed that we're once again recognised in such a highly regarded list of firms in the sector. We're proud of our achievements over the past year and also proud of the fact that we are one of only three companies to fly the flag for the East Midlands tech sector. It's no mean feat to be in the Tech Track 100 on two consecutive years so we're really appreciative of all our customers who have supported us."
At age 30, Andrew is now at the helm of a company that has amassed a turnover of £11 million in the space of only seven years. Node4 was not Gilbert's first start up. He began his entrepreneurial endeavour witha web development company following a short career as a software developer with DixonsStores. His firm belief in impeccable customer service within reach of his clients has prompted him to create a growing network of "data centres on your doorstep" with centres in Derby, Leeds and Northampton.
In recent months, Andrew has also been named as Ernst and Young North Midlands Young Entrepreneur of the Year and European Data Centre Entrepreneur of the Year.
Andrew continued, "The tech sector is one that has been earmarked as one that could be key in the recovery in the UK economy and we're well prepared to face the challenges and continue to grow aggressively. We have been successful by staying ahead of trends in cloud computing, data centres and communication and this focus on innovation and reliability will always be at the forefront of what we do."
