Leading Technology Journalist Georgie Barrat Joins the Main Stage at Techfest 2019

Georgie Barrat announced as host & keynote speaker at London Tech Week event hosted by Node4 on 14th June

Node4, the cloud, data centre and communications solutions provider, has today announced that leading British technology journalist and The Gadget Show presenter, Georgie Barrat, will be speaking on the main stage at Techfest 2019. Georgie will appear alongside other industry experts including speakers from Microsoft and NetApp.

Georgie is part of Channel 5’s The Gadget Show team and is ITV’s Weekend regular tech correspondent. At Techfest, she will discuss the latest cutting-edge trends in technology and the effect on businesses. From the embedding of AI, to the future of voice control and quantum computing, her keynote looks at how businesses can embrace digital transformation for the better.

Taking place on 14th June, Node4’s Techfest is a celebration of innovative technology. The free to attend event will be held at Kings Place, London, on the final day of London Tech Week. Techfest celebrates innovation, focussing on technology challenges and opportunities that IT decision makers are facing. Attendees will learn about the best ways of utilising public cloud, data protection, cyber security and collaboration – all presented in an engaging format of keynotes, lightning talks, demos and case studies.

Techfest has been designed to give visitors the freedom to design their own day based on the exact content they want to see and hear. Each technology station boasts a demo on request, advice from technology experts and customer case studies discussing how technology has helped them innovate.

As well as the main stage, there will be 10 minute thought-provoking, technical talks on the Lightning Stage with leading IT experts including:

  • Dave Smith, Channel Director at Enghouse
  • Steve Nice, Chief Technologist at Node4

Techfest also features a panel debate between:

  • Georgie Barrat
