Node4 customers to benefit from faster connections and reduced costs
BT Wholesale has provided Datacentre Access capabilities as part of its national Wholesale Ethernet portfolio at both Node4’s Derby and Wakefield data centres. Node4 is one of the latest companies chosen for the deployment as part of BT Wholesale’s plans to roll out its extensive Ethernet network across more than 50 data centre locations in the UK.
The partnership allows Node4 to add further high-performance, high-resilience and secure connectivity to its portfolio. This brings extensive benefits for Node4’s customers seeking to simplify their operations and reduce their costs, all while trying to increase bandwidth and storage to support applications such as HD and 4K video and graphics.
For Node4’s channel partners it brings the benefit of connectivity between their sites and Node4 to enhance the services they provide to their customers who need to access solutions in the cloud.
Aaron Tebutt, Vendor Manager, Node4 comments: “Our partnership with BT Wholesale is really exciting. Node4’s data centres are two of only a small number to offer this outside of London, and will prove hugely valuable for helping our customers to deliver to cloud services, storage, hosted communications and more at a fraction of the cost.”
Paul Beacham, General Manager Data Portfolio Management, BT Wholesale said: “There’s been a huge increase in the need for enhanced services and connectivity between data centres in the UK. BT is able to provide high bandwidth, resilient connectivity services into critical data centre locations to dramatically reduce lead-times compared with traditional fibre access solutions. As a result, we’ve significantly expanded our reach into key data centres across the UK, including at Node4, to ensure we meet the business needs of our wholesale customers.”
