We're delighted to announce that we've been shortlisted for three IT industry awards.
Along with our customer Stagecoach, we've made it through to the 'Digital Transformation Project of the Year' category at the SDC Awards 2020. We've also been shortlisted in two categories in the DCS Awards 2020: 'Data Centre/Colocation Supplier of the Year', and 'Cloud Project of the Year' with our partner DIS.
'Digital Transformation Project of the Year' at the SDC Awards
Previously known as the Storage, Virtualisation and Channel Awards (SVC), this well-known event became the Storage, Digitalisation and Cloud (SDC) Awards in 2019, to reflect the transformational nature of the enterprise technology which it serves. The awards recognise success in products and services that are the foundation for digital transformation.
As a finalist in the 2019 SDC Awards, we're hoping that this year, we'll bring home an award for the trophy cabinet. Winners are decided by public vote and will be announced at a virtual ceremony which takes place on Thursday 3rd December.
Stagecoach, a leading multi-modal UK public transport company, has been working with us on implementing its cloud-first enabled network strategy, which has now put us in the running for the SDC Award.
Stagecoach replaced legacy WAN infrastructure with a new SD-WAN based architecture provided by Node4. This has resulted in more bandwidth to carry out innovative and business-driving projects, cost optimisation, and additional security features such as greater visibility and control over network traffic.
We've also enabled Stagecoach to implement its full suite of Office 365 collaboration technology, which helps staff working remotely amidst Covid-19 and beyond.
'Data Centre/Colocation Supplier of the Year' at the DCS Awards
Over the past 10 years, the Data Centre Solutions (DCS) Awards has firmly established itself as the industry's premier annual celebration of data centre accomplishments.
Similarly to the SDC Awards, winners are decided by public vote and the award ceremony will be a virtual one, taking place on Thursday 10th December.
The recognition is particularly important to us, given that we've been providing data centre and colocation services since our inception in 2004. Over the years, we've expanded rapidly and now deliver comprehensive services to businesses up and down the UK, thanks in part to the demand for better hosted IT and communications solutions.
Our Tier 3+ data centres are among the most efficient in the world, with an efficiency rating of PuE 1.2. Across 83,000ft2 with 1,580 racks, our three wholly-owned UK data centres provide businesses with access to ISO27001 certified, highly secure and robust environments.
'Cloud Project of the Year' at the DCS Awards
We're pleased to have been listed in a second category at the DCS Awards; 'Cloud Project of the Year' with our partner DIS.
Data Installation & Supplies Ltd (DIS) is one of our most successful partners and has built a reputation for providing high quality, tailored solutions for IT, network and security challenges.
Our award entry with DIS is based on a project for their customer, Drive DeVilbiss. As one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of durable medical products in the world today, Drive DeVilbiss turned to DIS and Node4 for an innovative and highly scalable MPLS Private WAN solution to support its business growth with full visibility, scalability and security.
After a successful deployment, Drive DeVilbiss is now able to connect into a secure network from any of its sites, at any time. The company has a centrally managed internet breakout, instead of it being from each site, which is a lot easier to manage and monitor.
With MPLS, Drive DeVilbiss can keep one eye on its network whenever they need to, with statistics, email updates and online monitoring views. They also have support available 24/7 in a package which suits them.
