Latest addition to senior leadership team brings fresh focus on service excellence and will support Node4 through its next stage of growth
Node4 is delighted to announce that it has recently appointed Ian Thomas as Operations Director, a newly created position within the senior leadership team. Ian brings a wealth of experience in driving customer engagement and service excellence, having previously held senior positions at Experian, Atos and the Ministry of Justice.

Ian has over 19 years’ experience working within service operations, delivering complex IT solutions and services to customers. He previously ran his own consultancy, True North Service Management Limited, which saw him work with organisations to improve their IT services and associated performance.
Before becoming a consultant, Ian was Director of Service Operations at Experian, where he was accountable for the delivery and management of end-to-end live services to over 40,000 clients within a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulated environment. He led a single service operations strategy across Experian, which enabled all colleagues, services, processes, and activities to be fully client-focused.
Ian has also worked as Service Director at Atos, where he designed and implemented a service organisation required to deliver Service Integration and Management (SIAM) services to the Post Office. He subsequently led and managed the day-to-day operation of the global service model, involving over 150 people dedicated to delivering IT services to the Post Office.
Ian says: “Having seen Node4 grow in the last few years, I’m really excited to be joining at this time and contributing to the next stage in its growth. I’m extremely passionate about customer service, service excellence and building a customer-centric culture. For me, it’s really important that we continue on the excellent work already done to build a structure and culture to facilitate the delivery of service that is robust, scalable and ‘simple and easy’ for both customers and colleagues to work with.”
